We use

High grade Natural Wood

We use the most premium qualities of natural wood available in beautiful  textures and varied colours. Different species of wood occur naturally with assorted colours and shades of yellow, golden, brown, cherry, grey. We try to create multitude natural colour combinations by using  different types of wood in various pieces of the same toy.

Wooden pieces are polished using natural beeswax, a naturally occurring wax produced by honeybees. No adhesives, chemicals or metal nails are used in the making of toys.

 Handloom Eri Silk

Eri Silk – a peaceful silk in Assam is a hundred percent natural, cruelty-free silk yarn and one of the four major silks produced. It is the product of the domesticated silkworm Samia ricini, found in the tribal regions of north east India. What makes it distinct is that no silkworms are killed in the production of Eri Silk. The silk is processed only once the moth pierces and leaves the cocoon. Hence, the name Peace Silk or Ahimsa Silk.

The fly shuttle loom is the most common loom in Assam and almost each indigenous household has one for personal use. Various techniques of hand-spinning are used in the production of this eco-friendly silk.

We use hand spun yarns of Eri Silk in creating beautiful pieces of toys.

 Shimul Tula Cotton

Shimul Tula cotton is produced from the seed pods of the flowers of Bombyx Ceiba tree, also called Kapok, which split open to release to the wind large quantities of silky cotton imbedded with small brown seeds. The silky and soft texture of the fibre gives it the name Silk Cotton.

We use pure Shimul Tula natural cotton for filling all silk plush toy pieces.

Vegetable Dyes

Vegetable dyes are the main source of dyes or colourants derived from natural sources. Most natural dyes are extracted from different parts of plants and trees such as roots, berries, bark, leaves and wood. Some of the most popular sources of these dyes are leaves (such as indigo and henna), barks and woods (logwood, osage), roots (madder, alkanet), flowers (chamomile, marigold, safflower), fruits and nuts (walnut, myrobalan, pomegranate),

All our wooden pieces and silk yarn are dyed using naturally  extracted vegetable dyes making them completely free of toxins and synthetic colours.
